“As our community continues to grow, we will have new and unique challenges that we will face. You have my promise that under my leadership, Lakeway city government will be transparent, will invest wisely in needed infrastructure, will support local small businesses, and will support the first responders that keep our families safe.

I humbly ask for your support.”

Ron is actively involved in the Lakeway community and volunteers his time and resources with several local charitable and philanthropic organizations. Ron Cooper currently serves on the Lakeway Board of Ethics. Ron understands first-hand the needs of a growing community like Lakeway.

Ron Cooper is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, where he served in a variety of roles during his time of service, including homeland security, high risk diving operations and demanding water rescue operations.

After receiving an honorable discharge from the U.S. Coast Guard, Ron attended Ohio State University where he studied engineering and sociology. Upon graduation, Ron began his career and worked his way to become Vice President with a defense contractor manufacturing highly specialized parts for the United States military. Ron later took a position as General Manager of a construction company, growing that business to a $50 million valuation.
